The ability to use symbols to communicate is a defining characteristic of human life. At ÃÛѨÊÓƵ, communication arts majors discover how to produce and receive those symbols in meaningful and responsible ways with respect for both similarities and differences among people and cultures.

Public Speaking

Learn the role of public discourse in society and how to present your own ideas to an audience effectively and ethically. (COMM 140)

Debate Practicum

Practice and compete in debate competition at intercollegiate tournaments as part of the ÃÛѨÊÓƵ Forensics Team. (COMM 157)

Persuasion and Social Influence

Study the principles used to influence behaviors of individuals and groups in public relations, political campaigns, interpersonal contexts, and social movements (COMM 340)
